Trouble in the Terraces of my mind

hey...me writing here is a hell of a lot cheaper than therapy...

I don't know, I”ve been in a bad mood today. Partly because one of my “buttons” was pressed the past few days. One way to really irritate me is not appreciating what I do, and “take but don't give back.” I go out of my way to say hi to someone, or help someone out, and it seems recently that more and more people are not at least showing their appreciation for my efforts. I am tired of chasing people, since every time I do, it ends up not being what I want. I want others to to start putting in at least what I do. I'm not asking others to move fucking mountains, just simply return the favor. At this point it's simple-those who do want me around will show that they want, and not in the “just do enough to string him along/tease him into thinking that there's more from where this came from.” Those don't, won't and they will be surprised if they do choose to be selfish and try to come around again. they will sorely disappointed.

What I mean is where someone flirts with me or tries to stroke my ego just to try to get my guard down and then ask me to do what they want. then when they are asked to return the favor or at leas show some appreciation, they disappear or ignore me. I have no issue with people who want to be teases/play hard to get, there are plenty of opportunities to do so in the industries of automobile sales, prostitution, or exotic dancing (three things I have no interest to take part in or spend money on). I can quickly tell when someone is talking to me or doing things for me with legit interest, or they are bullshitting me, where I keep my wall/guard up. I figure this is why some women have thought I was gay, since I can tell when that smile or flutter of their eyes are just a front to their real intentions. I don't mind some teasing, but when I can tell that's all there in the situation, I don't waste my time with them.

OK, in the “paging Jim Norton” file....Soccer star Ronaldo was caught with a hooker who was a transvestite, who he thought was a chick. The hooker was trying to extort money from him, saying he was doing drugs and attacked the hooker. First off Prostitution is legal in Brazil where this all happened. Apparently Ronaldo met up with some and was expecting chicks, but he got three trannies and was not happy (wouldn't you be if you ordered something and it came with extra nuts?) He tried to pay them off, but they tried to squeeze him for more money. This story made me think of my one cousin who did travel to Brazil a few times on business and would tell me about how a single man can have fun down there. Makes me wonder what the hell kind of fun he had down there?!?!?!!?

Just a quick entry. If you don't hear from me for a while, i”m playing GTA IV. It's an addictive game. I laughed today when I saw on my friend list on my XBOX live account that 20 people were on and ALL were playing GTA. It took three years to make, but they hit it out of the park with this game. It's a little overwhelming, but it's a good overwhelming, in that the money I spent on the game is going to be justified. Just hearing the O&A cast and friends, and Fez from “Ron and Fez” made me smile as well.

I was playing around on my computer that I maxed out the RAM for less that $50 bucks, and I found Imovie, and I feel inspired to shoot some video to edit. I was debating on taking my camera out and just shooting whatever, and would like to maybe shoot some of the hijynx I get into, but not sure. I miss editing and creating stuff. I should get into it.

words of wisdom: Drinking alone is called alcoholism, but if there's at least one person in the same house where you are drinking, it's just binge drinking.

Sean Bell's alleged killers, three cops-two black and one part Arab-were acquitted, and once again the black community is using the pathetic crutch of racism to justify the false anger they feel. Funny, all the cops aren't white, and it's racism. Must be that rule in the “community”, if you join the cops you are automatically considered white. Also once again Sharpton is trying to insite a riot with all his talk (claiming he wants “civil disobedience”), and once again the community proves they are all talk and no action. Now they are trying to get the federal government involved, but I doubt they would want to waste their time. This was a city matter, there was no civil rights violated, and the matter should be left alone.

Someone mentioned to me that I shouldn't have compared Nickelback to Journey, and Air Supply is a better comparison. I”ll give Journey this: Steve Perry has a fantastic voice, but beyond that the music is garbage. One band I can also compare to Journey give that last statement is Skid Row. Sebastian Bach has a amazing voice, but their songs sucked, I will give a couple more bands in the same shitty column as Nickelback-Poison, Winger, Extreme, and as a matter of fact, most of the hair bands of the 80s.

I see Miley Cyrus is apologizing for photos she took that some call racy. Seeing the pics, where they were done by a famous photographer, I don't see a problem with them. they aren't showing anything really illegal, and they are actually nice artistic photos. Hell, some of the pics are with her father, so if her family approved of the photos, what the hell's the problem??? If there should be any embarrassment, it should be for her father's career and mullet.

I am watching the MLS game between the LA teams-The Galaxy and Chivas. What irritates me is that MLS markets this game as the “Superclassico”, or the big rivalry in the league. It's a crock of shit that is being forced down the US soccer fan's throat because both teams play in the same stadium, and Beckham is a part of one of the teams. Here are the rivalries MLS SHOULD market, since they all have a legit history and real hatred between the teams: NY/DC, NY/NE, CHI/Columbus, Dallas/Houston, Salt Lake/Colorado, an to a point NY/Chi, NE/DC, NE/Houston, SJ/LA (if the fans still hate each other like they did before the old SJ team left for Houston). Also making me want to puke is the lovefest of the Galaxy, like they are a superclub or something. They haven't' one jack, but because of a slick media ploy, they are the darlings of the league. I hope beckham has a compound fracture and has to retire, so I can stop hearing about the LA Galaxy, and the glorified retard Lalas who is being made to look like a genius because he signed Beckham. He's fucked over two teams in his career, hopefully he does it with LA as well. He's on his way-most of the salary cap that he maxed out is with Beckham Ruiz, and Donovan so he has no room to work with if they get hurt and has to sign someone to fill in.

Oh, and since I mentioned the Galaxy, I am required to say this; Fuck Landon Donovan. I hope the same wish I just did on Beckham. He's still a pussy-whipped sissy, that realized he's at best above-average as a player. Sure he does OK in the league and for the US team (though when he scores for the US, I never clap or cheer for him), but when he had the opportunity to show he can play with real men, he cried like a bitch he was homesick and threw a tantrum to come back to MLS. First off, the opportunity he pissed away in Germany he had since he was a teenager, when he signed with Leverkusen at age 18 (which he did by choice, he didn't have a gun to his head forcing him to sign). He had several years to prove himself in a top league, but he fell on his face. So he gets loaned to MLS and does well. I actually liked him a little when he was first in MLS. Then Leverkusen recalled him and Donovan went back thinking he was somebody and will be given a spot on the first team. Funny thing is that in Europe, no matter if you are a star or a scrub, you have to earn your spot. Little Landon couldn't cut it for the most part, made an embarrassment of himself, and cried about it. He was saying how homesick he was (read: his chick wouldn't come with him and he wasn't getting his ass kissed in Germany), so after a few bitching spells, MLS bought his contract, and gave him to LA. So now his overrated ass is in LA, and he hasn't improved as a player. If he was a real player, he would have stuck it out in Europe, found another team, and worked to improve himself, rather than take the easy way out. That's my biggest point of anger with him. He is a gifted player, but he chooses not to improve on it.

Didn't want to write so much about Landonpussy, but it just flowed. I did get a nice surprise yesterday, Mariokart Wii was on sale at a store two days earlier than the official release date, and I got a copy. It comes with a plastic wheel you put the wii remote in, and for the most part it works, but not totally needed. So far the game is like any Mariokart game. Still hate the “I'm in the lead, and everyone can kill me with shells and lightning bolts to put me closer to the field” AI, but overall it's a fun game. I can't wait to play in online with people, and I”ll put my code up when I get around to looking at it. It still has battle mode and all the fun stuff.

I got me some good news this past week. Had a meeting with my boss the other day and I was informed my job is safe for the time being, most likely I will make it through the whole big move. Then the next day I was told I am getting rid of one of my buildings in a couple weeks since more people are moving into it and the person who does my job for the new people in their old building is taking over there. I'm so happy about it since it means I get an hour more of sleep, just sucks i lose a couple hours of OT. But I'm pissed with my company since they sent me a letter saying I owe them money for them screwing up and over paying me, and I have to send them a check. Gotta take the good with the bad right people???

I realized my last blog entry was about some interesting subjects, and with my luck I'll be getting a visit from some fellows in out fine government. Last time I talk about Styx, but thinking about it the only way one could remotely enjoy their music is if you are hopped up on Meth, so I guess everything comes together in that entry!!!!

I heard a theory that makes sense about the most overrated band out there today, Nickelback. Simply put, that are this generations version of Journey. Think about it, cheesy music to cater to chicks, overdramatic vocals and harmonizing by the lead singer, and the music makes me cringe.

I”m reading Jesse Ventura's new book “Don't Start the Revolution Without Me”. So far it's a good read. I always like Ventura, he's always had a practical sense about politics and life. Some things I find him a little too liberal sometimes, but for the most part I find him interesting and honest.

BTW, the comment on my other entry by “a friend”-really cool thing to say, thanks. I'd do it directly to you, but I don't know who the hell you are.

I got a bunch of text messages last night that was from someone that obviously having a good time out drinking, given the time of the texts and the perfect grammar/spelling that is oh so common with someone who was partying hard. It said “O my Mexico, these tools ruined come sail away, yowzers” This is all the proof I needed to say “Ah, this person is drunk”. First off, “Come Sail Away” is a Styx song. The original song (as is most of Styx's catalog of music) was garbage. I ask you how can a garbage song be made any worse? As influential as the 70s were in music, there was plenty of music that accelerated the death of rock in that time period, either due o the greed of record companies signing anyone just to make a quick buck or just the drugs and chemicals finally taking it's toll on the performers. Hopefully this person woke up today feeling the remorse and shame of thinking a Styx song was any good in the first place. It reminds me of the greatest bit “the Simpsons” did where Homer (in a retelling of "Odyessy") had to cross the river Styx. the next scene was him on a raft going through Hell to the sound of “Lady” playing in the background, and skeletons air-guitaring to the song. Homer then screams out “Oh, this truly is Hell!!” Yes that is the soundtrack of hell; shitty 70s acts and boybands 24/7.

Speaking of mind altering chemicals, I was rolling around the internet looking at some of the news of the world, along with the conspiracies out there these days. I read some stories I remember reading in college in the local paper. It proves how dumb drug dealers are. Look up “meth” and “Marijuana” on the DEA site and look at how dumb, but funny, people are. I remember stories in college on TV of people in HAZMAT suits in the middle of farmland putting out fires that were the result of a Meth lab blowing up due to the moron running it right forgot to do something. This stuff is made with anything that can kill you, put together and boiled, and somehow made to get you high. Also meth heads like to take a part things and build things while on this stuff. One dealer made a model rocket to fire out of his car if police pull him over. He did get to try it but it failed. Most meth dealers get caught buying all the materials in bulk at one time from the store. This is also the same stupidity as the pot dealers getting in trouble for having huge bright grow lights and hoses running into all points of the basement for irrigation, and massive power bills, no to mention said lights make a glow that you can't miss from the road. It amazes me what lengths people go to get high. This is why I feel the government should legalize some drugs to help make sure people don't get killed with crap like this, and get some revenue form taxing the hell out of it.

Today I had a cool thing happen to me. I was on the train today looking out the window and notices how the light hit the trees, and how clear it all looked for me as the light shone off the leaves. It's one of the few times I really felt happy and fortunate to have had my eyes worked o and my cataracts taken out almost 20 years ago (which was another thing that really blew my mind-I'm 29 now, and I had my first surgery on my eyes at 11 years old).

First let me describe to you what the world looked like the first eleven years of my life. Think of having an intense fog situation that you have gone through, and that is what it was like in my eyes every moment. On top of that, that fog magnifies whatever light by the power of at least 10, so my eyes were really sensitive to any light. Even now, I prefer a darker room and cloudy overcast days. This really limited me as far what things I could do as a kid. I couldn't play baseball, or most sports that had an small ball or anything that vision was most paramount. this is actually how I ended up l playing soccer and falling in love with the sport-it was the only ball I could see with no real problem. I really couldn't do a lot of playing outside, due to the light sensitivity thing. As much as this was holding my self esteem and confidence at a crushing low, the glasses I had to wear to try to help out with my situation were an abomination. they were super thick, almost Paterno thick, and the magnification they caused didn't help with the light thing. Oh yes, ladies I was a real stud as a kid this side of Mr. Magoo.

Another thing this led to is the automatic assumption that I needed help with anything I wanted to do. This is one of the things I found extremely frustrating, treating me like I was retarded rather letting me fall on my face. One of my earliest memories of school was me losing my cool with a teacher on grade school when she came and gave me that “extra attention” the special kids need from a teacher, further pointing the attention and spotlight on me . I was trying to work on some math excursuses, and I was taking my time a little more, but the teacher thought I was struggling and came to see if I needed help because she thought I couldn't see the printing well. I kept plugging along doing m thing, but she would not let me do it myself. When she did butt in, I really lost it and started screaming to leave me alone and let me do this myself . This continued all the way through the early grades, and not just in school but in life as well. My parents were always trying to help me because they didn't want me to fail, but I wanted to do it myself.

It was embarrassing, as much as frustrating to me for years. I figure this is where my stubbornness to ask for any help from anyone. See, at this point, I'm at the point where I feel as if any success I have, as well as if my life goes nowhere and I end up homeless, jobless, and broke, it's because of my creation. That is why I went to the school I chose and after school why was out of work for so long, I just wanted to choose my destiny, and not have help and feel as if I couldn't do it myself.

But by the grace of God or whatever, my parent's health insurance was able to help send me to a specialist and I got my eyes fixed. It sucked getting the lens implants (this is before laser surgery became the de facto procedure-I had to do the laser after these surgeries as well but to clean up after the initial surgeries), especially the first eye I had done was when this surgery was still relatively new to the US , but I remember when the bandage was removed on my eye the first time and seeing the light the Doctor was shining in my eye and having me move my eye. It was so amazing to see with such clarity for the first time. Over time I got the other eye done and I can now see almost perfect-still need glasses for driving, but I could go without them otherwise. I guess I took for granted the gift I received, but today it hit me how lucky I was that my parents and medical technology were able to give me the gift of sight, and i can't thank both enough for it.

Once again, I had a great time at the Red Bulls game last Saturday night. Spent the afternoon out in the parking lot cowing down on chili (and felt it later that day and Sunday), drinking some fine beers, and went into the stadium and blew out my voice. this should tell you how much fun I have at the home games: I have to tape the games to see the whole thing. I see most of it, but to get a whole idea about the game, I have to re-watch it. The game ended in a tie, so at least they got a point out of it. It was a frustrating game to watch, many missed chances, sub-par refereeing, and it was a bland game. I got home late due to traffic on the GWB which I will avoid like the plague from now on. Oe thing that got me a little mad is the idiots in my section that purposely break seats. I don't get it. They are told not to stand on the seats but security, and in response they not only stand on the seats, but jump on them as well to break them. All this does is attract more heat on the section that can lead to major issues later in the season. Hopefully it does stop and hope that other step up to help stop it, cause it would suck of the stadium people get really strict.

The next day I woke up with the voice of a kid going through puberty, all crackling and such. I kept my mouth shut the most of the day, trying to gain it back. Today my voice was pretty good. At least I hope it was good enough for all those I talked to throughout the day. I got to get my voice back into shape for the rest of the season.

Today I had a little scare. I get a message my boss wants to see me late n my shift. Given the flusterfuck of a quarterly report and the time of the meeting, I had a bad feeling. I go to the meeting and it was just to update some of us on what's going on as far as the big move to the new Tower, and how that affects us. In the end I still got my job and should for a while. So in the end I was in a good mood going home today.

Tomorrow is the big primary, and the more I hear from all the candidates, the more I realize I still will not be voting this year. Especially since it seems ever election my vote seems to have less values with all the different rules both parties put on their elections (like the “superdelegates”, and the electoral college, etc.) It just seems like what's the point for the people to vote and use their right to choose the leaders they want if the “will of the people” (an expression I am growing to hate) will not be served.

Thursday, April 17, 2008

I am just about done reading Pat Buchanan's book “Day of Reckoning”. It's been a book hat has both assured me that what I feel about this country's state is right and also has made me angry at the state of the country.

First off, the US is the only superpower left in this world. But like most white people in this country, the US has felt guilty of being so good and dominant. What this has caused is the US just pissing away any economic dominance under the guise of “free trade”. It's no longer the US leading the way in manufacturing or growth, it's countries like India, Mexico, and China where labor is cheap and for some reason any tariffs the US had on their goods is gone. it's so bad, that the US spends money to export the materials to these countries which leads us to paying a tariff on the exporting, and then having the goods made in said country and imported back at such a low price. On top of this, the profits go to the foreign country, so yes, the US pays twice to a foreign country. It's not just some pissy little widget either. More and more goods that pertain to Defense and Security is moving out of the country and into outsider's hands. Anyone see an issue with this?!?!?

The government does nothing to fix it. Why you may ask, because these big corporations that pushed for all this own the politicians, and they can give two shits about this country beyond the fact that we are consumers. More and more it's less about the country, and more about the corporations. Ironically, the countries that profit form out dependancy, do the opposite. they impose taxes and limits on outside products and materials. They think about their country first.

The US may look like they are not in any power of influence if this is true and you see the trade deficit, but on the contrary, we are in control. All we have to do is focus on us, and less and less depend on others. If you did cut our importing of goods by lets say half, these countries economies would come to a screeching halt, and we would have influence to make things right again. But that won't happen, sinse nationalism is now considered racist, which leads me to my next point.

Another major problem with this country is that we do nothing to get rid of the illegals whoa re invading out country and eroding what it means to be American. I'm proud to call myself an American, but most others aren't. they still see themselves as their country of origin's nationality, yet they want to take advantage of what the US has to offer without giving back in any form (money/taxes, loyalty in becoming a US citizen). The Liberals in the country has helped further erode this country by somehow making us feel guilty that we have it so good, we should share what we have with everyone without asking for anything back form them. We have contracts to protect over 60 nations if they are attacked and they are not obligated to help us in any form. this is why our armed services are in all these other countries, and a lot of nations now don't have a formal army. If we took out all these forces and bought them home where they should be, first off we can handle the border issue with the extra help, and we would save a lot of money not being the world's babysitter/sugardaddy. Way back when these bases were needed, but since there is no more Cold War or “great enemy”, these bases are a waste of money.

Why are we stretched out in the first place? Simple, since the Soviet Union died, we have had this sick infatuation that we won, or way of living is right, and it is now our duty to make everyone else live like us. that's the basis of us in the Middle east, and why we are so close to attacking many more countries-they don't live like us. Most countries are dictatorships, and they are actually successful in a way due to the tight control and nationalism. China is a good example of a country that is not a democracy, but also is thriving economically. Our way of life is right for us, but it isn't for everyone. People have to have the right to choose how to live, and it's just wrong for us to impose our way of life on them, especially when it's at the expense of domestic issues here.

We feel we have a right to blow up a government and place our idea of what's right. As you see, that works wonders in Iraq. I always said this, if people are so unhappy in their countries with their governments, they would rise up and change it. Nothing is more dangerous is a rebellion of hungry rebels. We tried to place our favored people in different countries to keep the “bad guys” who are in power out. In the democratic elections we wanted in said countries, the people speak, and they re-elect the bad guys!!!!! People are so used and content living under them, why rock the boat? What is more insulting is the US says democracy doesn't work when this happens.

As I said, if I could I would take all US military and economically interests out of other countries and bring them home. We have so many things to do here to improve, yet it gets ignored. I say let's go old school, pre-WW1, and isolate ourselves for the most part, and rebuild the country to the best we can be. We tell everyone to defend themselves, and let's make everyone remember that they need us more than we need them.

that's the America I want. That's what we should be doing. I don't feel guilty that we are doing well, we earned it and we should enjoy it, not piss it away just because we are so far ahead. If these other countries what to succeed like the US, they should work themselves for it and not ask us for a handout. If they want to live in a dictatorship, so be it, the basic right of people is the right to choose how they want to live.

I know I may have been all over the place, but there is so much that Buchanan said that is true, it's overwhelming, frightening, and infuriating. I recommend his latest, and all his books. I disagree with a lot of his social stands, but politically, he's dead on with how it is, and how it should be.

I finally found something I agree with Obama about!!! His remark about hayseeds relying on religion and guns is probably one of the most honest thing I heard him say yet. I”ve lived in the backwoods for several years, and there are two things that the country folk do love, they love them some God and some guns!!! Everyone is thinking this is going to make him look elitist and make lead him to lose Pa. to Hillary. Well, so far polls don't say that, and the major newspapers in the Lehigh Valley, Pa. and Scranton, Pa areas endorsed Obama and haven't wavered on their support (these two areas are ones that are economically challenged in Pa that most point to when the story of the “plight of the Pa worker” is exploited).

Sure enough, Clinton once again morphed into another gimmick-the “common woman”, the one who is blue collar and you can have a beer with. I don't know, if I was Dusty Rhodes I'd be pissed that she is stealing his gimmick. Only thing she hasn't done yet is said how she's “dined with kings and queens, and also feasted on pork and beans.” What's next? she's the daughter of a plumber? By they way, just because some relative lived in an area doesn't mean you can claim you are from there. If that's true, I'm going to northern Italy and claiming I'm one of the common fold where my grandfather was born.

But there was one bright spot in this whole Pa primary so far; neither candidate was dumb enough to go “Hey, I'm going to be in Allentown, I should come out to “Allentown” by Billy Joel!!!” For those who don't know, people who live in the Lehigh Valley HATE that song since they feel it demeans them. There is so much hatred for that song that any radio station whose signal reaches the region is almost forbidden to play the song for fear of the station being burned down.

I actually feel bad for Bill Clinton. All the speeches he's made for his wife are comps, and what's millions he's lost. Look at their tax return, and you'll see he's the one that makes the money speaking. He's gotta think when he's on stage with her “I am losing out on a good payday you pig, don't fuck this up and waste any more of my time and money!!” She's either got some dirt on him to make him stay there and be the charity by speaking, or they agreed he gets to nail anything he wants in compensation. I'd make such demands if every speech he makes for her means one less $250-$500K speech to some corporation.

I”ve been reading Pat Buchanan's book, “Day of Reckoning”, and so far it blows my mind how right the man is about this country, how the world has changed since the cold war, and how fucked this country has become. His theories as to why this country has fallen apart and how Bush screwed this country over is spot on. Yeah, He's not a huge fan of Bush when it comes to how he's handled the war and most of his policies as far as this country. the more and more I read this book, the more I realized how right I was to vote for Buchanan when he ran for president. Most of you think he is crazy, but I challenge you to pick up this book, or any of his book, and tell me whatever he wrote is wrong.

I”m still amazed with technology. I have a webcam on my laptop, and with those who have a webcam, I can have a video conversation with them. I can also make video podcasts if I wanted, and if you go to blogtv.com, I can even have my own show on that site. It amazes me how technology is.

and now the most painful shot block ever.

and the story I found on it:

Also, if no one has noticed the NHL playoffs started. This is the best tournament in all of sports, even better than that NCAA Bullshit. Check it out, and see the best hockey this world has to offer.

One last thing: I learned this week that when you least expect it, a surprise will come and it will put a smile in your face, and a warm feeling in your heart. always remember that good things come when you least expect it.

The more and more I look at this world, and the more and more I get older. I noticed I am starting to look at the world in a slightly more conservative point of view. I'm not one of those dummies on the far right, religion and God's will has little to no relevance on any decision I make. I am not a supporter of George Bush, I think his selfishness, and desire to please his friends has set this country back decades, and the worst is yet to come as far as the aftermath of his actions. I am pro freedom of speech, and that's all speech no matter who is saying it as far as the Constitution goes. As long as it's not a direct threat at someone in the form of physical harm and isn't direct libel to someone, everyone has a right to say whatever they want. It is important to have all voices represented, but you also have the right to choose what is right to you. And that's the main thing I feel is the problem when it comes to “hate speech”, these morons can say all they want, but if everyone ignored them, they have no power or influence. It's when those who respond to what these groups say that gives them the power. When the selfish and self-righteous realize that, a lot of these problems society has would go away. There are many other issues in this country to deal with that are more important than that someone's feelings were hurt.

I hate both parties and the message of both. I don't need anyone telling me how to think. One book I read that has made me feel so much more comfortable about feeling how I do is called “Crazies to the Left of Me, Wimps to the Right : How One Side Lost Its Mind and the Other Lost Its Nerve” by Bernard Goldberg. When my cousin lent me this book, I was a interested in the idea. Long story short, this book looks at a lot of the major issues in the country, and he breaks them down to show what both sides feel about it, what are valid ideas hey have, and how their ideology and devout followers screw up the opinions, and ultimately make things counterproductive. After reading this book, it made things look clearer, and it also validated me and how I feel. Even now I look for people like Goldberg and try to read as much as I can from these people, who in reality are telling it like it is but often called crazy or fools. I just ordered three books from some of these types of people. First is Pat Buchanan's “Day of Reckoning: How Hubris, Ideology, and Greed are Tearing America Apart.” First off, this is the guy who has been deemed nuts, but was 100 percent correct in a lot of the economic problems that came up form NAFTA, and a lot of the policies the US enacted in the 90s BEFORE they were put into action. the second one is Jesse Ventura's “Don't Start the Revolution Without Me.” I always liked listening to Ventura's take on things, I may not agree with a lot of what he believes in, but I like him and respect his opinion. The last book I got is an older one called “Slouching Towards Gomorrah: Modern Liberalisn and America's Decline” by Robert H Bork. Comedian Nick Dipaolo recommended this book in one of his Blogtv.com shows, and from what I have heard, it should be a good read. The book is about how the liberal media is destroying the ideals of America and society. I can't wait to read it.

One other thing that is totally off subject, It's nice to see that other cities are poaching NYPD officers for their cities. Can't blame them since NYPD cops are the best. Seattle has put signs up in the city trying to attract current cops in the city, noting that starting salary there is almost double what it is in the city and the cost of living is almost nothing there. it apparently has worked, since a good number of cops here have applied to take the test, which is also open to non cops as well. Personally I don't blame them for taking it. I have a shitty job that I really shouldn't get what I do with it in reality, but I am glad I do. Even at this job at the amount of time I have there, I MAKE MORE THAN A COP GETTING SHOT AT IN THE SAME TIME PERIOD. The worst part is, that cops are required to live in the city limits, so that means they have to either moonlight at a second job, fine a roommate to live with or live at home, or get on government program for assistance if they can qualify for it. Put it this way, Seattle is offering a cost of living that NYC would have to pay the cops at least $80,000 to match. Can you really blame them for going where the money is?? I'm debating the same thing in a way. I'm debating should l get a second job or look for a better paying job. I would like to move out, and seeing that rent even sharing with a roommate is at still hight in the city, I have to do a lot of research on the matter. If anyone have any ideas or advice, i'd like to hear it.

I don't have my olive oil voice right now, but I still got my Ginny charm. Yesterday was the home opener for the Red Bulls. Going into it, some were nervous about me due to what happened last week, but it was all good. My cousin texted me to make sure I was ok, and he said if it wasn't going bad, he and another friend was going to come out to Jersey and help me out. God bless my cousin, but sometimes he is a tad overprotective like a big brother to me. But at the same time if I piss him off or flat out tell him to fuck off, he has no problem letting me do my thing and see if I succeed, fall on my face (ask him about what happened last year, and he still gloats telling me “I told you so, stupid”).

So I get out there around 2 or so. Hung out, talked, drank (had a case of Fat Angel, and a 12 pack of water-I was good to go). More and more people showed up, and a lot of old friends arrived, and it was a great time. Eventually someone had too much to drink, to the point where he fell over, threw up o himself, and was so incoherent, he was taken via ambulance to the hospital. Last I heard he was out of the hospital, but was held for observation. As sad as it was, personally I don't feel a lot of pity for him. Sure it's sad that this happened, but no one put a gun to his head to drink for over 4 hours straight, pounding back to back drinks. Personally, I cut myself off when I felt I had too much, and also knew I had to stop at some point to sober up enough to drive home.

Anyway, I went into the stadium and had a blast. I spent the entire game, screaming, singing, bouncing around. The section was packed, had to be at least 500 people in the section, and all were into the game. The ESC really added to the atmosphere. I didn't see either of the goals scored, and learned to record all the games from now on to see the game on the field, not just bits and pieces. After the game, hung out in the parking lot for a while waiting for the traffic to die down (the Nets game also ended at the same time), and eventually went home.

Interesting side note-I went to the game with a case of beer and water. I get home with more than a case of beer, many different types of beer also. I wish all investments went that way!

Quick note to whoever commented on my last post. Dont' take this personally, but if I dont' recognize the email address, I won't sent anything to it. For all I know, you could be a scam and I end up with gigs of shit in my inbox. If I do know ya, well should have left a name.

This week I picked up two things, one DVD and one CD. the Cd I got is Sevendust's new album “Chapter VII: Hope & Sorrow”, and I like it for the most part. It's sounds a lot like their past couple albums, which is a good thing for the most part. Their first single off the album is “Prodigal Son”, which is a strong track to start off with. There are a couple other tracks I can see being released, “Scapegoat”, and “The Past”, which features Chris Daughtry. Both tracks are good, but I think “The Past” would more likely get released since it involves Chris Daughtry. Speaking of featured artists, thats one thing I noticed, and not really sure if its a good thing. On this album there's three tracks that feature other artists. I personally think that means they ran out of material as they were recording, and needed to get to the number of tracks they planned for. It's not a bad thing per se, just something that stood out. I got the album off of Itunes, and I got a bonus track called “Disgust” that is actually pretty good (usually a bonus track is a throw away track).

That's the thing I was thinking about lately. A lot of the things that has been going on lately is that more and more media (music, TV episodes, movies) are going more the digital route. While this was expected due to the expansion of broadband and the idea that there is more control by the distributer over piracy, it still gets me nervous. I back up my computer at least once every two days, but I still feel safer having a physical disc with the media on it. Pretty soon I can see people with 4-5 external hard drives on their desk, one for computer back up, and the rest for storage of media, videos, movies, and any other media. I”m petrified of my backup hard drive could shit the bed, and I'd be fucked. Yeah, some things about the digital media I am still trying to adjust.

OK, the DVD I got recently is called “XXX Main, Three”, no it's not what you think, it's actually a video of R/C stunts and racing. Best way I can describe it is that it's like the old skateboard videos,-take a camera, some subjects, do something crazy/dangerous, get some independent/unknown/local bands, and edit together using every type of edit possible crammed into an hour. Some are probably saying “Geez, what a stupid thing to buy and watch.” Well I like it and this is my space, so I am writing about it. they have clips of all their videos on the various video sites. Look up XXX main on any of the sites and some of their more known bits may come up.

Funniest part of my day today: I was reading the story about the Shawn Bell Case here in New York City (Look it up if you don't know what that is-I have no time to explain it again), and yesterday one of the victims testified. It was such an emotional testimony-he talked about the hail of bullets and how he feared for his life, and how the bullets flying all over the place, it was like in slow motion. Then he said as Bell was dying, his last words were “I love you” and then he died in his arms. It was powerful stuff, and one that was just pure emotion..........

Then during cross-examination, it was mentioned that the medical examiner earlier in the trial mentioned that a bullet went through Bell's throat and vocal chords, thereby making it impossible for bell to even make any noises, let alone words. Then after that fact came out, the defense just went into it with the witness, doing everything they can to discredit and agitate him out of the story that was already proven shaky and further discredit him. Look, this is a sad story overall, and the trial was already an emotional powder-keg, but when this crap goes on and theatrics are being used to try to sway a judge (who is the only one that will decide on the verdict since the Bell family, Rev. Al, and all these clowns tainted the jury pool so bad that this had to happen), I have to laugh when the defense shows that the prosecution's case is so thin and was relying on emotion and sympathy of the poor group of friends were attacked by the big bad cops, for no reason. At this point, and the defense hasn't presented their case yet, any type of conviction doesn't seem certain and really shaky.

How great is it to see Hillary Clinton is just having a meltdown in front of everyone, and Obama hasn't even attacked her. first is her bullshit story about how she was somehow under sniper fire as she was strolling down an airstrip in Bosnia on a peace mission, then comes her odd comparison between her and Rocky Balboa. She said how he didn't stop running up the Museum of Art's stairs, and she won't stop running for president. It's cute she is trying to pander to a city's icon (but as Bill Burr said once about Philly, they made a fictional White boxer an Icon, but did nothing for the real world champion who's black that lived and trained in the city), but there's a minor problem: she's using his first movie as the basis...umm last time I saw that movie he DIDN'T WIN in the movie. That's as stupid as when anyone says “remember the Alamo”. Ok, I'm a little too young to remember it, but I read about it and the US LOST at the Alamo.

On a side note, you can tell who what newspaper wants to win the election. I read the NY Daily News everyday, and I see pictures they use for each candidate. I noticed that with Obama, it's nothing great, but ones that do show him off in a somewhat good light. I cant' tell sometimes, but it's either Hillary or Jabba the Hutt in the picture. they really work hard getting the really ugly pics of her. it's either showing off her 6 chins, or she looks like she ate a lot of cheese, or she's doing a damn owl impression. McCain they really do brutalize, but they do try to make him look like a crazy old man. Look at your local paper and see what pics they use for the candidates.

OK to end this, I will eave you with some videos I found and were mentioned on the Lazlow Show on Xm radio not too long ago, and are NOT SAFE FOR WORK. First is of a guy smoking this stuff that is apparently legal called Salvia. it apparently gives you an intense high and trip for 5-10 minutes. Look at the other videos up on Youtube and maybe you will agree with me that between this and that African drug that is no more than fermented piss and shit, and you really wonder what the hell is the harm of legalizing pot or coke:

Part 1:

Part 2:

This is a preacher that used to be on TV out in LA. I am sure you all have these shows on your public access that is supposed to be serious but end up being pure entertainment and humorous. here's a couple clips of this guy, and if the Catholic Priests were this entertaining, i'd have gone to church every week:

and finally, since I mentioned Philly, i HAVE to add Bill Burr trashing a Philly audience and tells it like it is:
